Kicks: Sony Playstation Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low Joe Mauer MLB The Show PE
2009 AL MVP Joe Mauer was selected to grace the cover of the MLB The Show franchise for the second straight year. Nike is celebrating Mauer’s accomplishments as an athlete and repeat coverboy status with a special PE colorway of the Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low. It has a Minnesota Twins style to the sneaker. The Sony Playstation badge is on the tongue and the MLB The Show graphic insoles. Check out the detailed images of the sick new colorway and expect these to hit select retailers like Sole Boutique on April 9th, as these are set to be a Quickstrike release.
Kicks: Nike SB Dunk High ‘Cheech and Chong’
You remember Cheech and Chong and their high ass hell classic, Up in Smoke, and Tommy Chong’s red bandana he wore in the movie was influence in this Nike SB Dunk High. Just maintaining your sneaker game is very expensive, and The Crown holder of the Footwear game is about to make it even more expensive. According to Sneaker News “Due to rising costs of cotton, oil, and transportation, Nike, in a statement made by CFO Don Blair during a conference call to analysts on March 18th, will offset those increased costs by raising prices “across the board”. Nike’s financial year ends on May 31st, which could signify these higher prices arriving soon, and with Nike’s Global Growth Strategy of blossoming into a $27 billion company by 2015, the sneaker-buying public has no choice but to pony up the extra dollars, or give up the game for good. The good news is that Nike has the world’s most creative CEO in Mark Parker, so hopefully the minds behind the swoosh can devise alternative counteractive solutions to rising costs of materials without hurting the consumer”.

Carmelo Anthony gets the luck of the Irish with these exclusive St. Patty’s Day kicks. St. Patrick’s Day is on Thursday, and New York will be trading in the blue on their uniforms for a luck-attracting green. With Carmelo Anthony on the squad, we knew he needed a special new colorway of the Jordan Melo M7 to go along with the new threads.
On Thursday only, ‘Melo will be rocking these M7’s with a deep forest/white-orange flash colorway when they take on Memphis in NYC. While ‘Melo’s game doesn’t rely on the luck of the Irish, it doesn’t hurt to look fly on the court.

Allen Largin’s Future Sole design comes to life on-court this Friday, Last August, 15-year-old Allen Largin came away the winner of the Future Sole 2010 competition with a creative design of the Jordan Melo M7. Largin’s design was inspired by the clean lines and durability of Indy Cars and meaningful symbols relating to Carmelo Anthony’s life. Since winning the contest, Largin has been able to personally present his design to ‘Melo and work with the Jordan design team to continue developing his initial drafts into a final product. When ‘Melo suits up against Detroit on Friday he’ll be rocking the Future Sole M7.

But remember the Nike Air Max LeBron VII, well here’s another look at these two unreleased samples; kind of tough out there… especially with the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. The ‘Home’ version features hints of blue on the upper Flywire panels. The ‘Home’ version also features a gold tongue while the ‘Away’ features gold on just the border. Both pairs feature ‘IRISH’ on the heel – a call-out to the SVSM team name.

Air Jordan IX Premio Look-See sample was caught on eBay… Someone dry snitched… It features a grey-toned color scheme with snake-skin on the upper mudguard and cream-colored roped laces. Nike’s concerted efforts at maintaining a level of awareness to wildlife preservation could have been one major reason as to why this sample was never produced, so much for that.
